Quanta AGM 2005

Quanta's Annual General Meeting for 2005 was held on 17/04/05 in Portslade town hall, near Brighton and Hove on the south coast of England. Yours truly took a digital camera with him and these are some of the photos I took at that event.

Bernd Reinhardt, seen from the front this time! Bernd is a software author, many of his works are available from JMS.

Bruce Nicholls David Gilham
Bruce Nicholls of Quo Vadis Design. Bruce operates the QL Users Email Mailing List, does website design for Quanta and others, plus proof reads QL Today. One of those quiet but hardworking people behind the scenes whom you never really hear much about but whose contribution to the QL scene is highly important. Oh, I nearly forgot, Bruce is also a past QL software trader and former editor of a software reviews magazine called QReview.

David Gilham, who maintains the Turbo Toolkit and has done some work updating Perfection to work better with modern QL displays (as yet unreleased work).

The Jochen Merz Software stand at the AGM. As busy as ever - trying to get near Jochen (who is seated, wearing the bright yellow jumper) at these shows is always a problem as he's always so busy! Sat facing Jochen is Quanta chairman, John Mason.

Another busy stand at the show was that of QBranch. Roy Wood of QBranch is on the right of the picture. Facing the camera with the cheeky grin is Phil Jordan of The Library PD software library service.

Former Quanta officer, Bill Newell. Some trivia: Bill was one of the tellers counting votes cast at the AGM!

Ken Bain, organiser of the Quanta workshops at Byfleet.

Pondering a problem Peter Marsh
A quiet moment pondering some problem in the corner of the hall!
