If you are using Minerva 1.97 or greater, then serial transfers above 9600 can
be speeded up by disabling the IPC interrupt (POKE!!53,128)

If you are using the Falkenberg keyboard interface (also supplied by EEC) the
8049 co-processor may be installed in a box outside the QL (manual page 6)

HERMCLICK_EXE - EXECing Hermclick_exe toggles keyclick on/off. Useful in 
programs.
